Stadin Botski is an easy way to enjoy summer and the sea with friends or family. Anyone over 18 can drive our over 5-metre rental boat — no driving or boating licence required, as long as you have prior boating experience. Up to 8 friends, family members or dogs can come along.
The boat is designed as a picnic boat for Helsinki. At its heart is a large picnic table, perfect for chatting, enjoying refreshments and snacks. The boat is steered with a helm at one end of the table.
The boat runs on electricity, so the near-silent motor won't disturb the atmosphere or good conversations at sea, and won't pollute the Baltic đź’š. The boat moves at a leisurely jogging pace. Hopefully you're not in a hurry. Enjoy the sea, the lapping waves and the unhurried atmosphere. At Stadin Botski, you've already arrived.
The departure and return harbour is in Hakaniemi at Eläintarhanlahti (Eläintarhantie 10, Helsinki).

The boating start and end point is in Hakaniemi at Eläintarhanlahti (Eläintarhantie 10, Helsinki). Arrive 15 minutes before your booking starts so you have time to open the locks and get familiar with the boat. Feel free to bring your own picnic provisions.

The boat has an electric motor, a helm and a throttle, making steering simple. At least one person on board must have prior boating experience. We are happy to suggest suitable routes.

When on the water, maintain safe distances from other boats and the shore. A good rule of thumb is to keep at least 25–50 metres from shore. Always drive in the middle of the channel, give way to sailing boats, and pass oncoming boats on the right just like when driving a car. Keep a large distance from other boats and a very large distance from ships. Stadin Botski is also suitable for children and you can bring four-legged friends along, but we only have life jackets for adults.

The most important rule in boating is to only go out in good weather. Boating is not much fun in rain or strong wind. If there is a strong wind warning at sea, the booking will be rescheduled. You can reschedule your booking if you notify us at least 24 hours before the agreed departure. In other cases you can cancel up to 72 hours before the booking.

Enjoying your own refreshments in moderation is fine, but the person driving the boat must be sober. The boat will not be handed over to an intoxicated skipper. Remember to bring your own picnic provisions too. Food and life taste better when enjoyed at sea.
